Membership of the Society.
Membership of the Society is by invitation only. A guest’s first visit is complimentary with a maximum of three visits. If there is a vacancy and the guest wishes to become a member they will be asked by the Chairman to submit a portfolio of their work to be viewed by the Committee. A majority vote is required to become a member.
If you are passionate about life drawing and live or practice within a reasonable travelling distance from Chelsea/Knightsbridge, please contact the Secretary, who would be happy to invite you as a guest, with a view to hopefully becoming a member.
The Club currently meets on Wednesday evenings from September to May. The annual subscription is very reasonable at £100 here annum - with a weekly model fee of £10, for those who attend, which includes a simple supper.
Life drawing followed by supper.
Since its beginnings in the 1800s suppers have been a regular feature, they are still served - and still very much enjoyed.
The Langham is for everyone.
Today there are equal numbers of men and women who enjoy the convivial and friendly atmosphere that the membership cherish.
